OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL GATE

Apart from our two primary schools, we have been extending our work to the community at large. We have built houses for poor widows, and helped those who are in need – we have provided water wells, helped out local government schools in various ways, provided materials to build a bridge, held medical clinics, provided cataract surgeries, provided food to families going through crises, provided goats and cows to families with neither, helped women start businesses, set up a tailoring center for women and provided sewing machines to women in very remote areas. During the period when covid caused a shutdown of most activities, we provided food each week to 58 families who had no ability to feed themselves. We are constantly looking for more ways we can help those who don’t get sufficient help from their communities.
